Interdisciplinary Art Group SERDE

Interdisciplinary Art Group SERDE supports exchange between contemporary art, science and technology in a versatile programme of field work, expeditions and educational activities that focus on local knowledge and traditions in Kurzeme, a rural region in Latvia rich in cultural heritage. The residency centre is situated in the lively small village of Aizpute, in a 300-year old, three storey wooden house. In the Frontiers project the artists-in-residence have an opportunity to work also in the new eco laboratory, a residency extension located in the forest without electricity.
